I visited Nice, in France, in the middle of September, and here are the things you can do and visit!
I lived in Nice for 3 years and I loved this city with all my heart. Coming back for a couple of days was very emotional and I’ve tried to see and visit as much as I could in a very short getaway!
I took the metro from the airport, it cost 2 euros. It took me to the centre of the city in less than 25 minutes!
I stayed at “Byakko hotel” in the heart of Nice, super close to the main station “Gare de NIce- Ville”. The staff was lovely, the room was great, perfect for a couple of short-stays and the breakfast was just ok, and very typical continental.
Day 1 of things to do in this French Riviera destination.
On my first day in Nice, I spent time exploring the many Things to do in Nice France by walking around the “Cœur de Nice.” I was reminded of my previous visit to this stunning city. Which is full of charm, enchantment, restaurants, shops, and everything you could need within walking distance. The weather is perfect all year, making it an ideal destination for a visit.
The old town is so fascinating. The charming narrow streets, the funky and vintage boutiques, everything single corner is beautiful and romantic. Paris who?!
I highly recommend wandering aimlessly through the streets of the new and old town for a couple of hours before going towards the magic promenade.
There are a couple of bars on the promenade to stop for a refreshing drink. “Topaze Bar Nice” is a tapas bar that offers lovely drinks, nice service and the view of the sea from its terrace is incredible.
Nice in the evening is as charming as in the daylight. The bars, pubs and restaurants are so welcoming and they all look excellent. My friend and I decided to have dinner at “Les Distilleries Ideales Bar”, one of the most popular, original & atmospheric bar-restaurants.
With a Gothic interior mixed with wall frescoes and a friendly atmosphere, this is one of nicest drinking spots. Wonderful selection of Tapas. My friend is obsessed with french crepes, so we ended our night at “Glacier Rossetti” for some cheeky nutella crepes. We deserved a treat after reaching 35k steps that day!!
