Located on the stunning Bay of Kotor, Tivat is a hidden gem in Montenegro that’s waiting to be explored with my itinerary. With its clear blue waters, stunning mountain ranges, and rich cultural heritage, Tivat is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the crowds and experience the beauty of the Adriatic coast. In this post, I’ll be sharing my experience of visiting Tivat in the middle of July, including the best things to do and see during your stay. So, get ready to immerse yourself in the charm and beauty of Tivat!
First day in Tivat Montenegro travel and food Itinerary
From the airport I had to book a taxi. Uber or Bolt don’t exist in Tivat Montenegro. Buses aren’t reliable either. The cost of the taxi is not that bad, 5km is around €10.
I stayed in an Airbnb with a private and small pool called “Apartments Pean” with a private and small pool. Anita, the host, is extremely caring, always prompt to reply to your text and the apartment is gorgeous. You will find everything you need. It’s situated less than 5 minutes walk from the beach Ponta Seljanovo, less than 10 minutes walk from Porto Montenegro.
A restaurant I loved for sure is “Ponta Veranda”, a family-run restaurant, just around the corner from my Airbnb. Differently from the other restaurants at the port, the cost of the meals are so affordable and the quality of the food is spectacular! I was so obsessed that I decided to go twice! The first time I had Greek Salad and Squid, with another local glass of wine. The second time I had their Beef Patty, Salad and another glass of wine. Both times they offered me baklavas!
To save you time I’ve created a very detailed and easy travel and food guide with 3 days itinerary break down. Check Travel and Food Guide of Tivat. for my detailed itinerary.
